This was probably the best callback to the 90's horror I've ever seen! Such great mechanics, atmosphere, sound design, and monster design! Love everything about it! Can't wait to see more!

you have technically finished the game by having able to get those 2 syringes, you just have to interact with the injured guy once again then you'll be able to administer the cure, though this is something that I think should be triggered when "use" was clicked through the inventory when facing the subject

I'm sorry you had a bug on the final part, I thought that was already fixed, I have to check it and see what still causes that thing.

this game is really special , it has a mechanism like re 2 original , but idk why the control feels stiff and hard to control especially when you shoot and aim , But anywat overall this is a nice game :) good job dev and the team !! btw this is my gameplay of it

This game was fun ran into a glitch exiting the office building but only once over all camera angles where very forgiving and well done The sound of the pipe hitting the monsters was legendary lmao Cant wait to see the full game Thank you for making this would love to see what's in some of the other buildings

dude i cant stop saying how excited i am to play this excited for the full game and hoping there is sequals i would pay but i dont have a job though if you could teach me a bit of code and how to do it i can help you build the game i already know html, c++(not much), a bit of lua and java, so i am pretty familiar and should know what to do mostly and would be happy to help you code the game but i will play it and leave my full review in a comment seperate from this one though contact me if your interested with my help

I am pleased that you are happy about how the demo plays despite the lack of interesting storyline. What I have to work right now is mostly the storyline while also improving my English writing skills as I'm not a native English speaker, but I'm doing what I can.

Joueur ayant joué sur silent hill sur ps1 j'ai retrouvé les sensations et gameplay de l'époque. C'est du beau boulot et il y a pas mal de notes d'humour suivant où on clique ( le couteau ou une certaine porte^^)

Player having played on silent hill on ps1 I found the sensations and gameplay of the time. It’s a nice job and there are a lot of humor notes next where you click ( the knife or a certain door )^^

Got the "good vibes" ending first try! This was really well done and I really enjoyed it.

Loved the Silent Hill aesthetic and inspiration. I'm okay with tank controls but, is there any chance you'll add controller support for the main game you're developing?

I find controller tank controls easier to play than keyboard/mouse tank controls. xD

Either way awesome job! It's the last game in my playthrough of three random horror games and starts at 27:42.

This was pretty good! The Silent Hill vibes are prominent. The tank controls felt smooth, and combat was sufficient. I failed to realize there was a good ending as I played this a week ago and couldn't find any other gameplay videos involving the good ending, so I apologize for not exploring this game fully. But this demo does a great job of enticing the player to want more! Great work!

I'd say my only feedback besides polish and enemy models to be spookier would be, to not be afraid to make it overall darker. While fiddling with screenshots of the game I'd note that me changing the contrast made the games look sexier (imo). lol

I appreciate it, it's never about 'targeted harassment', I just bluntly call things as I see it, and it definitely takes strength to also admit ones mistakes. This was definitely much better than the mentioned game, a step up.

It's a pretty neat little demo, I liked the art style and sound effects as well, looking forward to the full game, good work :)

This games hits all the nostalgia points not only in visuals but also in gameplay. would like to know more about the story and excited for what's to come.. Highly recommended to those looking for the "Silent Hill" Vibes.. Great Game, Keep up the works..

Hi! I Know it's still early on, but will the controls change at all? Or at least get the option to change control set up. My brain doesn't really do tank controls so it's unplayable for me. It looks really good though!

Hii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^

-The idea of the game is great and has those nice "silent hill" and PS1 vibes.

-The gameplay mechanics are well implemented and done, but you have to polish some details on them to make them more solid. (For example: Opening the inventory should pause the action to be able to change weapons, etc.)

-Good visual style, but I didn't manage to put the game on fullscreen mode, IDK if that was my fault.

Hopefully this is useful for the development :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Only criticism is some dialog is worded a bit strange and the the text goes by a bit too quickly for me but otherwise great stuff.

yeah thanks, I'm not a native english speaker so it's one of my biggest problem in game development.

A decent little teaser; it has atmosphere with its retro-style graphics and Silent Hill-inspired setting. There isn't a lot to the gameplay and overall it's quite short, but having said that this is supposed to be more of a demonstration of what the dev intends to do for their full game. The gameplay mechanics seemed solid, as far as I could tell. Play-through below:

As someone who has played a lot of games in the Silent Hill franchise, it's really cool to see a project inspired by this Survival Horror classic. I liked everything I saw here, from the graphics to its gameplay. It really encouraged me to play the full version when it comes out. Congratulations on your work and keep it up!

Good work, especially considering that the game had to be developed in a very limited time.


It is inevitable to be inspired by the classics, since they were the ones who set the standard. However, for the complete game you are developing, it would be more convenient to go for a scenario with its own personality. The mechanics are what they are, and if you want to make a tank-like control, you can not do too many maneuvers, but the atmosphere is the first thing that enters through the eyes.

In any case, we will be waiting for it and we will evaluate it accordingly ^^

Hello, I don't normally write much about people's games as I am usually too busy to play them, but since I am currently working on a project myself that is (very) similar you could say in some respects, I decided to give your game a go. 

Great work on the shaders first of all. Things I noticed that you did quite well when recreating this shader:

  • Polygon Draw Distance
  • Screen Space Vertex Snapping
  • Near Clip
  • Colour Quantization
  • Affine Texture Mapping
  • Depth Error

I like the style of the game too, I won't lie. I recently released a game myself in a very similar format, although without a shader. My biggest gripe with this game was how short it was. I know this is a demo for something else that is in the works, but I really felt it could have gone on for longer. As I am no stranger to game jams myself I do know how long these things can take, so please don't take this as too much of a criticism. 

I think I just got excited to play something a lot longer that's all. I dropped you a follow on Twitter so I can stay up to date and I'll most likely be checking out a few of your other games. Anyway, keep up the good work & I look forward to seeing what else you got going on : )

The game definitely reminds me of Silent Hill and even controls like it. Though there were a few doors near the blood stained door that somehow put me back to said blood stained door when I "entered". Other then that, not a bad game. Also, is there more then one ending in this demo?

To be honest, I kind of enjoyed the game, in a way of making the effort of creating a nostalgic environment and if this project goes far, I would definitely enjoy exploring and making the world, which you have created more playable. 

Although, it's kind of repetitive to see games leaning towards the classic style and making the old, "Silent Hill"-style projects. It's not that I don't like it, no. My primary concern is that more imaginary approach is being tossed away. That's in general, but specifically for this game, the visual style and overall environment is just too much of a copy, if you know what I mean. 

Inventory system, the shooting mechanics, the dialogue and using pipe was very neat. Item pick-up animation and look was very much different from the old games and that's what I am talking about - the art style and unique approach. Those things attract me, personally more than just having an eerie atmosphere, which I have seen a lot - the snowy ash, the torn pavement and etc. 

This project is great. I loved playing it, but for the future, my main critique and suggestion would be to just change the environment to look like a less copy of a "Silent Hill" and more of something that you can come up with. It's not easy, but that's what makes the horror genre special - unique approach and quality, not repetition and mirroring.
